Beading for Christmas
Jewellery or a Christmas Bauble
On the 8th December, 2017 I will be having a craft day for stitchers and anyone interested in creating a piece of jewellery or perhaps a couple of Christmas baubles at my studio in Magdalen Road, Oxford. During the day you will learn a variety of stitches which once mastered, can be used to create a necklace, earings, baubles or even cover glass candle holders. Designs can be further adapted for use as edges on garments or for enhancing your embroidery.
Absolutely no experience is necessary, and the class will be limited to 4 students so there will be plenty of time for one to one tuition and will be demonstrated on the day.
Address, 74 Magdalen Rd, Oxford OX4 1RE free parking is available
Cost £50 per person, you will need to bring materials. Coffee and a mince pie is included and there is a nice cafe down the road where we can go for lunch.
The samples shown below are a selection of the motifs you can make using the beadweaving technique I will teach on this workshop. All can be assembled in different combinations to make bracelets, necklaces, earings or expanded for the Christmas bauble.
