Japonica

This Pongees Japonica was used for a pair of heavily interlined curtains and pelmets. Single flower motifs were then gathered and appliquéd onto the same background fabric and embellished with beaded centres to make a delightful range of cushions.

You can see from the detail shots how different colours from the background fabrics can be emphasised to coordinate with different colour schemes.

The last sample, is a painted and stitched enlarged interpretation of a section of the fabric. This could be used as alternative cushions, blinds or a hanging.
